Describe your style? ‘Simple, not so complicated. Usually black, sometimes some colour, depending on my mood. I wear this cap mainly because I didn't wash my hair. I only have two caps. In China, where I am from, I used to buy my clothes online. In Utrecht, where I have been since a year now, I like Zara, H&M, New Look and Mango.’
What would be a major turn-off, fashion-wise? ‘I don't like it when men dress old-fashioned. I also think it's gross when men wear their pants so low you can see their undies. Apart from that I don't like strange styles. Just be normal.’
What music are you into? ‘Soft, pop, jazz. I'm not into specific bands or artists. I check what's new on Spotify, and friends send me songs they think I will like.’
What was the last party you went to? ‘Last year I went to the Puma here in Utrecht. I don't go out really. I like dancing, but my boyfriend, who lives in China, doesn't like the idea that I go out without him. He thinks it's dangerous. So I spend my weekends watching Chinese drama series, or have dinner with my friends. I like to cook. Or I do my homework.’
Movie? ‘My favourite movie is Holiday. A movie from some years ago, about two girls, one from England and one from the USA, who exchange homes and boyfriends.’
Book? ‘I never liked books, even when I was just a kid.’
How do you keep up with the news? ‘I watch the BBC and check the CNN app.‘
Number 1 bookmark? ‘RenRen, the Chinese Facebook.’
Are you religious? ‘I believe in constellation, in my horoscope. I'm a Gemini.’
Club or café? ‘Café.’
